Timbers Nursery is a purpose-built setting and has two classrooms. Children have access to outside play areas from all rooms.
We welcome children with particular needs and difficulties and for whom English is an additional language.
We serve the local community and are open for 5 days per week. We currently open from 8.30am – 3.30 pm offering full and part-time places and accept children on the two, three and four year grants and those in receipt of the 15 - 30 hour funding. (Times will be extended should there be a local demand)
We work in partnership with our parents we achieve this by listening and acting upon our discussions, ensuring the child's individual needs and requirements are fully met.
Our management team is passionate about ensuring all children are given the best possible start to life and have the same life opportunities. Through the Foundation Degree and BA Early Years degree, our managers have become reflective practitioners, questioning and evaluating what they do and why on a daily basis. Our practitioners have high aspirations for their key children,
and are exceptionally skilled at meeting their individual needs. We have a culture of "can do", both with the staff and children.
Effective observations and assessments ensure that the child's voice is paramount in our planning. Our practitioners "hear" what they say and provide stimulating, attractive and inspiring activities and areas within the setting for the children to investigate, learn and take appropriate risks. The learning environment is ever evolving to meet the current interests and needs of the children.
